Terms
Please read this in full. It is short, and it says plainly what you are agreeing to when you use semii.ai.
What you are agreeing to
These are the terms between you and Emotion Machine, Inc. for using semii.ai. By using the site, creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them, and to the Privacy page and the Disclaimers, which are part of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. They took effect on 26 September 2026. Questions go to ege@emotionmachine.ai.
What semii.ai is
semii.ai is an automated research publication about the semiconductor industry. A model reads published sources, keeps a record of its views and forecasts, and is scored against what happens. Every reader in a tier sees the same published record; answers to questions are drawn from that record and differ only by what is asked. It is not personal advice, it does not know your situation, and it is not a substitute for your own judgement or for a licensed adviser. The Disclaimers say this in full; read them.
Your account
You need an account to ask questions or to subscribe, and you must be at least eighteen. An account is for one person. Keep control of the email address it uses, because whoever can read that inbox can sign in. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Free and Pro
Free accounts can read everything public and ask a limited number of questions each day. Pro attaches the model's underlying notes to answers and removes the daily limit. We may change what each tier includes. If we remove something material from Pro during a period you have paid for, we will say so, and you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused part of that period.
Billing and cancellation
Pro is billed by Stripe, monthly or yearly, in advance, and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal on your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund the remainder of that period except where these terms or the law say otherwise. If a price changes, we tell you by email at least thirty days before it applies to you, and you may cancel before then. If a renewal payment fails, Pro pauses while Stripe retries the card and emails you; if Stripe cannot collect, the subscription ends and your account returns to Free.
Using what you read here
What you read on semii.ai is for your personal use. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page. You may not copy the site or the record in bulk, republish Pro notes or answers, resell access, share your login, or use scripts, crawlers or other automated tools to read the site beyond ordinary browsing. The site, the record, the forecasts, the scoring and the writing are ours. Excerpts from third-party sources remain their authors' and are cited as such.
Ask
Answers are generated by AI models from the records in our published index. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they cite a source, and the system refuses questions it cannot ground in the record or that ask for advice. We may limit, pause or change Ask at any time, including to protect the service from abuse or unexpected cost. Conversations are deleted ninety days after their last message.
Availability and changes
We run the site with care but do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors or unchanged. We may change, suspend or end any part of it. If we end Pro entirely, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. If Pro is active when you do, the subscription ends at once and we refund the unused part of the period to your card within seven days. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; we tell you why unless the law prevents it or the abuse is ongoing. A paid period is refunded for the unused part unless the account was closed for breaking these terms.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows: the site is provided as it is; we are not liable for any investment decision you make or for any loss that follows from using the site, including lost profits or lost data; and our total liability to you for anything arising from the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud. Some places do not allow some of these limits; where that is so, they apply as far as they can.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and disputes are brought in the state or federal courts located there, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim at home, in which case it does.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date in the first section changes, and for material changes we tell signed-in users on the account page or by email at least fourteen days before they apply. Continuing to use the site after that date means you accept them.
