Timing correction
correction ·
Earlier live return calculations could start before a decision existed.
The held-book evaluator used the source article’s publication date; the per-state chart used the later of publication day and recording day. Neither handled the full recording timestamp or each listing’s market close.
What changed
Live entries now use the first scheduled exchange close strictly after the decision was recorded. Weekends, exchange holidays, early closes and timezone changes are accounted for. A decision made exactly at a close waits for the next session. Fixed horizons now count each listing’s own sessions, with the benchmark following its own calendar.
Decisions replaced before an eligible close do not create a holding in that market. Missing required prices make a result unavailable instead of silently moving the entry or omitting a holding’s return. Names without a USD price series remain explicitly excluded.
What the figures were before
These are frozen live held-book comparisons using prices through 18 Sep 2026. The original figures came from record 80c5a62. They are retained as a correction record and should not be used as current performance claims.
| Live held-book result | Previously published | Recomputed |
|---|---|---|
| Against the semiconductor index (SOX) | +4.53% | Unavailable |
| Against the S&P 500 | −0.89% | Unavailable |
Unavailable means required price coverage is missing; it is not a zero return. The archived JSON preserves all per-state figures from both calculations, together with the input hashes.
Limits at this correction
This correction repaired execution timing. At this stage, historical model mapping still used current inputs and portfolio accounting remained incomplete. The subsequent accounting correction addresses those issues. The figures archived on this page preserve the earlier method and inputs exactly; they do not establish investment skill.
